What I wore to Wendy's!

This is what I wore to Wendy's the other night. You have no idea how much fun this was for me. I love wearing capris! I just wish that someone had said something about my flood pants. Please tell me if I look cute or not.

Fashion Statement or Fashion Faux Pas
Here is an article about how capris are a fashion statement. It is from 2000, but I think the information is still relevant. I hope you enjoy it.

However, there are always people who are going to think that capris are a fashion faux pas. I never understood this about some people. When it was embarrassing to be wearing highwaters, they would be wearing highwaters and look like they were waiting for a flood. Those people now won't got near a pair of capri pants. In style or not in style, I like to look like I'm waiting for a flood.
I just have to wonder, could I get away with wearing highwaters when capri pants aren't in style? Maybe nobody said anything to me because they are so used to seeing women wearing capri pants that they didn't think anything of a man in capris. Maybe it is high time that men starting wearing capris, too. After all, they do show off the shoes and they do have a purpose of keeping the wearer from getting too hot or too cold. Maybe someday soon, I shall wear a pair of capris in public again. I can't wait to hear the reactions. I will be very disappointed if nobody comes up to me and asks me if I'm "waiting for a flood" or "why are you wearing highwaters?"

Capris in public!
We all know that most women can pull off wearing capris or cropped pants in public. They can do some major highwater flooding and be totally stylish. Some women look absolutely horrible in capris because the shorter length makes their asses look huge. Some women look bad in them because they are too skinny or too short.
I generally wear my capris, which I keep in the closet, around the house while I'm cleaning or doing whatever. I hardly ever go outside or out in public wearing my capris. In fact, at home, I wear capris and other pants that fall between my knees and ankles with Keds. Keds are actually very comfortable to wear around the house.
Tonight I did something different. I went out in public to Wendy's wearing a pair of women's capri jeans! I set it up so that I would look like I was a man wearing highwaters. I wore women's slouch socks, Nike basketball shoes, and an oversized t-shirt with my capris. The bottoms of my highwaters were almost four inches from the tops of my shoes. They are six inches from the tops of the shoes when I wear Keds. Overall, these capris hover a total of eight inches from the floor or ground. That means I am totally showing off my shoes.
The difference between this time and the last time I went to Wendy's wearing capris is that I actually got out and went inside where everybody could see my highwaters. I usually go through the drivethru. This was so much fun for me! I hope I can do it again sometime.
I love wearing pants that are way too short for me. I don't know if I looked cute or not. The really strange thing was that nobody even noticed that I was wearing jeans that were too short for me! Nobody came up and asked if I was waiting for a flood! Maybe someday, I'll get up the courage to wear women's capris to Wal-Mart or to another store. I will be so excited if somebody asks me if I'm waiting for a flood!
